Prior Graduating Class Update

October 10, 2017

Here is some quick info on past Deloitte and Morris Heights scholarship recipients:

Karen Lugo Felix (CUNY Baruch) -- Karen plans to use her recent MHHC alumni scholarship to help fund a study abroad program next fall. Karen is an International Business major. This semester, her favorite course is Finance. She says it is hard, but she is getting a lot from it.

Kevin Atterbury (SUNY Alfred State) -  Best classes this semester are Technical Calculus II, General Physics II and Applied Thermodynamics. Planning to go into the engineering field for a few years after he graduates in May 2019 but has been thinking that he would like to be a Math teacher after that!

Aicha Bamba (SUNY Albany) -- Aicha is graduating in May and is studying to take her LSATs so she can go to law school. This semester she is enjoying her playwriting and African American history classes.

Jamal Warren (Penn State) -- Is still an Accounting major. Jamal is also working, doing well and finishing his last year.

Denzel Kennedy - Our first scholarship recipient college grad! He is pursuing a master's degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs at Seton Hall. Denzel is going to school parti-time this year and working two jobs -- one as a teaching assistant in an after school program in a Manhattan school and the other on weekends as a site manager for a recreational program. Next year he will move to Jersey and go full-time, hopefully getting an internship at NYU!
