Overview:
The major objective of the judo club is to introduce students to the benefits of judo practice, which include: increased confidence and self-esteem; physical fitness; self-defense; discipline; and respect for self and others.
Judo is a Japanese martial art and Olympic sport that involves throwing and grappling techniques. Students learn and practice these techniques in a safe environment. Judo is a contact sport, and students who fully participate in all aspects of practice improve their fitness through strenuous and extensive physical exercise designed to hone technical skills, build strength, improve flexibility, and increase stamina.
The CSSJ Judo club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3:30-5:00pm.
